Camp Linn Haven (Campfirmation) in 2025

Summary of Week

There were 68 middle school students, 39 high school students, and 40 adults in attendance. That includes 11 pastors serving at 11 different LC-MS congregations across 5 states.

Teaching Theme and Worship

This year the teaching covered was called The Sacraments: Signed, Sealed, and Delivered and included the last three parts of Luther’s Small Catechism:

• Holy Baptism
• Confession and Absolution
• The Sacrament of the Altar

A rigorous schedule filled each day starting with Matins at 8, a plenary learning session after breakfast, two breakout learning sessions (kids separated into three groups/teams), Evening Prayer or Vespers after dinner, and Compline before bed. We also received Christ’s body and blood during Holy Communion on Sunday night and Thursday night.
