Five Solas

Yes, Luther boldly affirmed and taught (as do all true Lutherans today) the five Sola’s as the true biblical and apostolic teaching:

• Sola Gratia (Grace Alone)
• Sola Fide (Faith Alone)
• Solus Christus (Christ Alone)
• Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone)
• Soli Deo Gloria (To the Glory of God Alone)

But while Lutherans uphold these five Sola’s, using the same labels as what others in the Protestant Reformation use, our teaching about the Gospel differs from Protestants in important ways. Please feel free to dig in to each of those topics above.
