We Believe
We confess the one true faith confessed by Christians of all ages.

Our confession includes the ancient Ecumenical Creeds. Please see more about these creeds for a deeper understanding of our beliefs.
God the Holy Trinity
We believe in one God who is three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God.
We believe that this one God is eternal, holy, and good and that He is love.
Moreover, we believe that this one God is the creator of all that exists.
We believe in God the Father, maker of heaven and earth.
We believe in God the Son, the eternal Logos, who made all things and in time was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect and obedient life before His heavenly Father, suffered and died for the sins of all human beings, and was raised from the dead after three days, ascended to heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God in glory, and He will return in glory to judge both the living and the dead.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who regenerates from above and gives life to those who are dead in trespasses and sins, and who works through the means God has appointed in His External Word (preaching and the administration of Christ’s sacraments) to bring salvation to the lost, creating and sustaining faith, hope, and love in all of God’s children.
The Sola’s
Scripture Alone: The Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.

We hold firmly to sola scriptura.
Grace Alone: God loves the people of the world, even though they are all sinful, even though they all rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to win for us forgiveness by His own merit and thus to prove how God loves the unlovable and saves even those who are ungodly.

We hold firmly to sola gratia.
Faith Alone: By His suffering and death as the substitute for sinners of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for all people. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
